Degrassi, the Wingnuts, and the Con Bigots

The other day the Gemini Awards honoured the Degrassi kids.

And it was the celebration of Degrassi, an international phenomenon now five years older than the awards themselves, with cast members past and present causing chaos outside, and tears inside as they read letters from troubled kids to whom the show gave solace and support.

Even as the Christianist crazies in the United States are trying to boycott them.

Meanwhile back in Canada, the NDP is trying to pass a bill that would protect transgender people, and the wingnuts at Lifeshite are screaming like banshees.

“Imagine a young girl - your daughter or granddaughter - goes into a washroom and finds a man there. How is the young girl to determine whether or not the man in the bathroom is a ‘peeping tom,’ a rapist or a pedophile?”

And getting stroked by the Harper PMO.

The Prime Minister's office told LifeSiteNews Friday that the committee's vote "does not denote our support for the Bill." "In fact the Justice Minister has stated in the House that Bill C-389 contains provisions which are unclear and unnecessary and that our government will not be supporting this legislation," said Sara MacIntyre, Prime Minister Stephen Harper's press secretary.

Because when the porker pastor oinks.

“I have a 13-year-old daughter. I don't want her going in and showering with a grown man at the local pool, regardless of the man's inner feelings,” McVety said. “I think most Canadians share that position. Would the prime minister want men showering with his daughter? I don't think so.”

Stephen Harper listens.

You know everybody has their own nightmare eh? And I have mine.

I enter a changing room, and there is the porker McVety stark naked, crawling on all fours with his big ass in the air, squealing like the guy in Deliverance.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH !!!!!!

Trans people suffer enough indignities in life, to have a pig come after them.

Damn those ugly Con BIGOTS.

Here's to those awesome Canadian kids, who are spreading a message of tolerance all over the world.

And standing up for the humanity of EVERYONE...
